Native to India, cottonseed oil is a vegetable oil extracted from the cottonseed. It is particularly rich in essential fatty acids (omega 6) and sterols, which gives it its softening properties: the skin is soft and velvety. It is also an oil which allows a better regeneration of the hydrolipidic barrier without leaving a greasy film: the skin is flexible.

This role as a skin barrier limits water loss and preserves its suppleness, which makes it an excellent moisturiser.
